Detailed description of Indigo Lakes Golf Club, CLOSED 2018
Indigo Lakes Golf Club is a Semi-Private, 18 hole golf course located in Daytona Beach, Florida, about 500-yards from the center of the famous Daytona Speedway.
Indigo Lakes Golf Club first opened for play in 1976. The course was designed by Lloyd Clifton.
Indigo Lakes Golf Club once played host to the LPGA Championship, Hooters Championship, and LPGA Qualifying School.
Indigo Lakes has been rated, time and again, as one of the "Top 10 Golf Courses in Florida" by GolfWeek Magazine. The course was one of Florida's must-play golf course in its heyday.
Typical of the area, the Indigo Lakes Golf Club layout is a semi-woodland/wetland layout of more than 7,100-yards. The layout stretches through stands of old-growth pines and oaks with fairways that are often tight and bordered by woodlands and water (water comes into play on 10 holes).
Indigo Lakes Golf Course closed in 2018.
In mid-summer 2018 the course closed as a golf business and owners were investigating alternative land use development plans, which was met with resistance from the Indigo residents. The course was originally built as part of a residential community of over 500 homes.

This is a great course, challenging but will not drive you crazy if you are not a low handicap player, you choose the right tee and you will enjoy it very much. The fairways and greens are in great condition. The driving range facility is excellent, the balls looked new, and the chipping are practice is excellent as well. The staff is very friendly. I can't imagine anyone being disappointed.

Played in Jan. course was in better shape than most in the area. Nice course to play with some challenging holes.

Nice layout, but let the grass grown in the fairways please. Otherwise the lies are too tight. The whole package was good tho'.. really nice! Play the back tee's and make this a challenge to score then.

Great experience. Nice cart person meeting us and getting us off to a good start. Starter got us off early which was nice. Inside personnel were all nice and helpful. Beverage cart person very nice and always around. Course in ok shape since it is just coming off the winter play. Would definitely play there again when in the area.
